Experiences
"Life is the art of drawing without an eraser" -John W. Gardner
We believe that students learn best through meaningful experiences, and our philosophy compels our actions in so many ways...
Over the past 10 years, Jennings students have:
- Traveled to many interesting and exciting locations across the United States, and to Africa and Canada, including:
- Audubon (MN), Arkansas, the Appalachian Mountains, the Black Hills (SD), California, Chicago (IL), Florida, Ghana-West Africa, Iowa, Lake Superior (WI), New Orleans (LA), New York City (NY), Texas, Toronto, and Washington D.C.
- Assisted many organizations with service-projects, including Sharing and Caring Hands, Goodwill, Meals on Wheels, the Minnesota Parks Department and the Salvation Army.
- Designed and built several super-mileage cars, an award winning solar boat, and a 30 foot river raft.
- Discovered the world of work through entrepreneurships, internships, community service, and career exploration.
- Explored a variety of technologies by: producing cable shows at SPNN, creating websites and videos, learning programming and designing original computer games, producing and performing original digital music, and beginning the creation of their own student portfolios.
- Participated in National History Day at the regional and state level, attended MN Business Venture camp, Ag camp and Project 120
