How To Get a Drivers License (15-17)
First Step:
Instruction Permit

At least 15 years old

Second Step:​
​
Take the permit test once classroom instruction is completed.

Third Step:
​
Sign up for behind the wheel instruction.
​
​
Fourth Step:
​
Get a Provisional License
Qualifications:

At least 16 years old
-
Completed classroom instruction and behind the wheel instruction

Held the permit for six months with no moving violations or alcohol/substance abuse violations

Provide a driving log with at least 50 hours of driving, 15 of these at night. If parent/guardian has completed parent class this is reduced to 40 hours of driving, 15 of these at night.
Behind the wheel rules:

Must have license in your possession when you are driving

Everyone must wear a seat belt

May not talk on cell phone or used a hands free cell phone device

For the first six months, only one passenger under the age of 20 is allowed
