Graduation notice (Postponed)

We understand that this is not the graduation ceremony you envisioned for yourself. In order to respect and honor the memory of George Floyd, Jennings Community School will be postponing the graduation parade. Graduates are still able to pick up their diplomas tomorrow, Thursday June 4th, at Jennings between 10-12 only OR be a part of the graduation parade on June 10th.


Guidelines for DIPLOMA PICK UP at Jennings: June 4th (Between 10-12 ONLY)

  • Wear a mask, and attend graduation with members of the same household

  • Be camera ready, Jennings will be providing you with a cap and tassel to take a graduation picture

  • Practice social distancing

  • Return Jennings Property Items such as Chromebooks, charging cables and/or hotspots.

  • Must arrive between 10:00-12:00 only

  • Restrooms will not be available, as we are not opening the building.


Guidelines for GRADUATION PARADE: June 10th (12-2)

  • Be camera ready

  • Jennings will provide a cap and tassel

  • Make sure Jennings has a way to text you so are able to contact you to come outside of your residence during the parade and get your diploma

  • Practice social distancing

  • Return Jennings Property Items such as Chromebooks, charging cables and/or hotspots.


To the Class of 2020:

Your graduation is one for the history books. The Jennings staff and community is so incredibly proud of your accomplishments and we look forward to celebrating your individual triumphs. You all have so much to be proud of and so much to look forward to in the midst of our current climate. It will be your generation that pulls us through these difficult times. Be compassionate, and put forth your skills to create positive change to our community, state and nation.
